Leather & Colors
Leather and thread options. A reference for your custom order.
Shell Cordovan
Shell cordovan is made from the fibrous layer beneath a horse's hindquarters. Each hide produces two small shells, which is why shell cordovan is limited in supply.
Actual colors may vary slightly due to screen settings.
Horween Shell Cordovan (USA)
Tanned in Chicago by Horween, established 1905. Dense and substantial, with a natural luster that deepens over time.

Shinki Hikaku Shell Cordovan (Japan)
Tanned in Himeji by Shinki Hikaku. A refined, polished surface with an even finish. Firmer to the hand than Horween.

Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather
Produced in Tuscany. All three age with use and develop a patina, but each has a different starting character.
Buttero (Walpier)
A firm, smooth leather cut from clean double shoulders for consistent thickness. Full aniline dyed, with a satin finish that deepens into a glossy patina over time.

Pueblo (Badalassi Carlo)
A brushed, matte surface that feels almost like paper when new. With use, it breaks in to a supple, leathery hand and develops a rich patina — the change is more dramatic than the other two.
Dollaro (Walpier)
Buttero leather with an embossed pebble grain. Firmer than plain Buttero. The textured surface is more resistant to minor scratches.
Thread
Supersew MBT Polyester, made by Nagai Yoriito in Japan.
